Uploading Very Large Files With Git LFS
July 24, 2017
Sometime when uploading very large files using Git LFS, the git client may timeout and try the upload up to five times. This may occur on files that are very large (larger than 250 MB).
This issue is caused by the git client timeing out while waiting for acknowledgement from The Storehouse that the file was uploaded. This is neither an issue with The Storehouse or Git LFS and can be fixed by updating a config variable.
Navigate to your project's directory and run
git config lfs.activitytimeout 0 to disable the timeout.
