Issue Settings

July 1, 2017

You can adjust the status and severity types of issues for your project to match your project's needs.  To edit the status or severity types, navigate to the Project Settings page and click the settings button next to the issues module.

Issue Status

These communicate the progress of the issue to your project's members.  When creating a new issue, all issues will be set to the default status until changed by a project member who can edit the issue.  The default status is also the default filter when viewing issues.

By default, the following settings are configured:

Default Status: Open

Status Types: Open, Closed

Issue Severity

The severity communicates to your project's members the priority of the issue.  When creating a new issue, the default severity is selected but can be changed by the user opening the issue to any severity.  Once created, an issue's severity can only be changed by editing the issue.

By default, the following settings are configured:

Default Severity: Normal

Severity Types: Critical, Major, Normal, Minor, Trivial, Feature Request
